New Accidental Expense Plan Has Many Clients Sleeping Easy

When you think about it, I am truly in the business of helping people finance unforeseen, unwanted future medical expenses. I have been hearing more and more “I just wanted catastrophic coverage. I don’t care about the small stuff like Doctor Visits and prescriptions”. Well, we covered last month that a qualified  HSA plan can be the best solution, enabling you to use pre-tax dollars to pay for your medical care (no other plan creates this tax advantage), and offers premium about 2/3 that of conventional Co-pay plans. The money you save in premiums is saved for future Healthcare expenses and grows tax deferred.

Recently I have been working with clients to help supplement these plans with some additional protection. I have added an Accident plan that pays up to the lesser of your total exposure to care costs or $5,000.00 for medical and dental expenses with a $100 co-pay for accidental injuries. What that does is reduce your exposure to deductibles and co-insurance for that visit to ER for a broken bone or stitches, or even an MRI for a head bump to $100. So as long as the injury is caused by some accident, the plan kicks in working with your insurance to finance all but the $100 co-pay.

This plan stands on its own and works with any Health Insurance plan. I feel that anyone with children, or adults with active Southern California life styles, should be looking to add this coverage to help with peace of mind. Individual plans are $29.95 per month, and family plans are $39.95 per month. Please call to discuss strategies of how we can make this plan right for you.
